Explosive Detection
QFS has been exploring the potential of Nuclear Quadrupole Resonance (NQR) and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) for detection of hidden explosives under DARPA's "MEDS" Program. A prototype system built under this project delivered good detection rates with low probability of false alarms without the use of ionizing radiation, which enables safe and quick screening of people and animals.
