Beyond Earth QFS is working with the UC Berkeley Space Sciences Lab on a project to develop a prototype of a deployable instrument package with integrated EM sensors capable of sub-surface sounding on Mars. It is expected that the instrumentation will enable the detection of water several kilometers below the Martian surface. In addition to providing the sensing package, QFS has designed custom digitizer hardware for the system.
